The Ravens safety was guaranteed the seven-figure sum if he reached the Pro Bowl and Baltimore made the postseason in the same campaign.
And having been invited to the Pro Bowl earlier this month, Weddle’s bank balance was boosted when the Ravens held on to defeat the Cleveland Browns 26-24 and clinch the AFC North title on Sunday.
However, Weddle plans to share the wealth among the team.
“I’ve been thinking about it all week that if it happened, I’m going to do something nice for all my team-mates and my coaches because I’m nothing without my team,” Weddle said.
“As much as it’s for me and my play, my defense helped me get to where I’m at.”
Asked what plans he has, Weddle replied: “You’ll find out. Something is in the works.”
