Each new Genshin Impact update has its beta phase, which starts once the preceding patch arrives. For example, the 2.5 has officially started the day Genshin Impact update 2.4 joined the live server.

Developer miHoYo has introduced an interesting pattern of revealing new characters weeks before their arrival, most likely because they would get leaked either way once the update’s beta arrives. It has already officially confirmed the brand new five-star character Yae Miko as the first banner character. One of the most popular Genshin Impact leakers, Lumie, has apparently revealed the four-star items that will be featured on the upcoming Genshin Impact Version 2.5. The first banner cycle will supposedly feature the following characters:

Yae Miko (five-star Electro catalyst user) Fischl (four-star Electro bow user) Thoma (four-star Pyro polearm user) Diona (four-star Cryo bow user)

When it comes to the weapon banner, Genshin Impact update 2.5 should include the following items:

Primordial Jade Cutter (five-star sword) Kagura’s Verity (five-star catalyst) Rainslasher (four-star claymore) Stringless (four-star bow) Eye of Perception (catalyst)

Many fans think that it’s quite ironic that Fischl is paired with Yae Miko on the same banner considering that a recent Genshin Impact leak revealed a damage comparison between those two. The leak claims that Fischl with all constellations outperforms Yae Miko’s C0 level, which is quite surprising considering that Yae has a higher rarity. However, it should be noted that these numbers were taken before Yae received a set of significant buffs. Fischl is one of the strongest sub-DPS or support characters in the game and fans are excited that she will be featured on a limited banner.

Kagura’s Verity will be a new signature weapon for the upcoming Genshin Impact character Yae Miko. After all the recent buffs, Yae Miko is still expected to be a decent DPS, with great sub-DPS capabilities as well. The Primordial Jade Cutter is an S-tier weapon, as it provides high damage number thanks to its sub-stat, which is Crit Rate. This weapon can be a great fit for DPS and sub-DPS sword users such as Albedo, Ayaka, Bennet, or Jean. The weapons passive provides a significant HP and Attack bonus which suits most Genshin Impact DPS characters.

Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development with no confirmed release date.
