A new post on the popular Genshin Impact Leaks subReddit shows that one of the characters has already been buffed in the ongoing 3.1 beta phase. According to one of the most credible leakers in the community, Ubatcha1, Cyno has received some significant buffs to his Energy particle generation.

The leaker have seemingly confirmed that Cyno’s potential to recharge Energy outside his elemental burst, Sacred Rite: Wolf’s Swiftness, has been significantly improved. This buff could impact Cyno’s play style considering that his whole kit revolves around the elemental burst which has a high Energy cost. Even though multiple replies in the comment section claim that a buff to his particle generation during his Burst would be much more impactful, they are still satisfied with the adjustments. HoYoverse is yet to confirm his role within a team composition, but multiple leaks have already revealed that Cyno will be a new DPS character in Genshin Impact.

After Cyno activates his Elemental Burst, he turns into a state called Pactsworn Pathclearer which will convert all of his attacks into Electro damage and increase his Elemental Mastery. The skill is very reminiscent of Razor’s burst called Lightning Fang, which is one of the reasons why Cyno has been given the nickname “Razor’s older brother.” The elemental burst will also increase his resistance to interruption which is a very important stat especially when fighting larger groups of enemies.

Another interesting fact about Cyno’s elemental burst is that it can be used almost all the time since it can last up to 18 seconds, and the cooldown is around 20 seconds. However, a couple of comments have stated that the new buffs could be indicating that payers should cut his burst short in order to gather additional Energy as well as swap to other supportive or sub-DPS characters and use their skills.

When it comes to his best team composition, Cyno should be placed in a team that has Dendro characters in order to use one of the new elemental reactions named Aggravate. The same leaker has previously confirmed that he should also be paired with at least one Electro character such as Fischl who can resolve any Energy issues that may occur. These leaks should still be taken with a grain of salt as HoYoverse could still make additional adjustments before Genshin Impact update 3.1 arrives

Genshin Impact is available now for mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5.
