In this fantasy world, each of the seven regions is led by one of the seven Archons. Some of these Archons gained their seat by winning the Archon war, while some others inherited it from gods that retired or passed away. Of course, as a deity with a direct connection to Celestia, these gods would have extraordinary power. So when it comes to the strongest Genshin Impact characters, they’d easily be included on the list.

7 Tartaglia

One of the deadliest warriors in Teyvat, Childe, the eleventh of the Fatui Harbingers, is the Tsaritsa’s weapon of war. He honed his skills in combat when he fell into the abyss and was trained by Skirk, an exceptional swordswoman (as Ajax describes her).

In the story, Childe was able to resurrectOsial from his slumber, a defeated God who can raise Tsunamis and wipe Liyue from existence. He was also plotting to steal Morax’s Gnosis, a daring move against an Archon. Only a truly powerful warrior would dare do such a task.

6 Dainsleif

The Twilight Sword, Dainsleif, is a mysterious character that knows a lot of what’s going on in Teyvat. When the Traveler meets him for the first time, Dainsleif knows everything the Traveler went through, although he wasn’t physically there during all those disasters. He was also involved in the fall of Khaenri’ah.

Unlike other characters in Genshin Impact, Dainsleif manipulates another form of elemental energy. Most fans refer to it as a dark element, as he is able to create a black-blue, galaxy-colored aura in his hand.

5 Alice

Also known as the Legendary Adventurer, Alice is a character that doesn’t seem to have any self-control over her curiosities. She is also often described as a person who doesn’t think of consequences, which can clearly be seen when she developed a plan and lured everyone who took care of Klee into the Golden Apple Archipelago. There, Alice prepared the islands with all kinds of puzzles and “fun” games for everyone to enjoy.

Alice’s origin, age, and abilities are unknown, but the Traveler can get glimpses of her power and personality during their travels all over Teyvat. She is also friends with Rhinedottir; the alchemist known as Gold, who created Albedo and Durin, and was one of the main reasons for the fall of Khaenri’ah. In short, while little is known about Alice’s ability, her connection, influence, and legacy show that she’ll be a person of great power.

4 Xiao

An ancient warrior who fights gods as a daily routine, Xiao is an Adeptus who purges evil and defends Liyue against danger. His exact age is unknown, but it is known that he fought on Rex Lapis’s side during the Archon War over 2000 years ago. Among the five foremost Yakshas, Xiao is the only survivor, while the rest either succumbed to corruption or died at the hand of another.

In his younger age, Xiao was controlled by a god who used him as his bloodhound. Many died in his hands until his god was defeated by Rex Lapis during the Archon War. The Geo Archon then liberated Xiao from his suffering and gave him his name. As a result, the Yaksha dedicated his life to defending Liyue and its people.

3 Venti

The Anemo Archon, Barbatos, protected Mondstadt for thousands of years. Although he is considered the weakest among the Archons, he still possesses an Archon-level power. When he helped take down Decarabian and ascend to godhood, Venti was able to reshape the landscapes of the entire region and made it into the Mondstadt known today.

Venti doesn’t rule Mondstadt, though, instead, he gives its people the freedom to deal with their matters. But in times of danger, Mondstadt can always feel safe in his protection as Barbatos would defend the city against all kinds of evil. One of his recent battles was against Durin. Venti called for his friend and loyal dragon, Dvalin, and together they slayed the dragon. Durin’s skeleton now remains visible in Dragonspine where the area now knows a never-ending winter.

2 Raiden Ei

The Electro Archon rules all of Inazuma with a promise of never-ending eternity. While there are three Raidens available in the story, Raiden Ei is the strongest among them. Ei and her sister Makoto ruled Inazuma as one Raiden, where Makoto took care of politics and laid down the laws, while Ei defended Inazuma from danger and fought Raiden’s battles.

The centuries of wars and battles earned Ei an unimaginable amount of experience on the battlefield. One example of her massive core strength is her legendary battle with Orobashi, where Raiden Ei split an entire island as she slayed the serpent.

1 Zhongli

The Geo Archon Morax stepped down from ruling Liyue and left its destiny in the hands of the mortals. In Liyue, people refer to Morax as the God of War because of the number of deities buried under the soil of Liyue, defeated by Rex Lapis and his Adepti army. One of the buried gods is Osial, where Zhongli hurls spears down at the ancient deity, pinning him down in a deep slumber under the islands now known as Guyun Stone Forest.

Zhongli alone with his power, knowledge, and experience is a person to be feared by all other characters in Genshin Impact.
