With her rerun approaching in Genshin Impact 2.4, Ganyu-havers may consider getting her copy to make her stronger. However, since getting a 5-star can be costly, players should first assess if Ganyu’s constellations are worth it or not.

Are Ganyu’s Constellations Worth It?
For F2P players, getting a 5-star with full constellation may seem farfetched, so many aims for C1 or C2 instead. In Ganyu’s case, she’s already incredible at zero constellation, so it’s unnecessary to try and get a copy. However, if players insist to make their Ganyu stronger, then the notable upgrades come at C1, C4, and C6.
C1 - Dew-Drinker
Constellation effect: Inflicting Frostflake Arrow or Frostflake Arrow Bloom damage on opponents decreases their Cryo resistance by 15% for 6 seconds. A hit also regenerates two energies for Ganyu. This effect can only occur once per charge level two Frostflake Arrow. Importance: High
Ganyu’s primary source of damage comes from her Frostflake Arrow Bloom, so C1 Ganyu will continuously trigger this resistance reduction. The effect has no cooldown and will occur every time Ganyu reaches enemies with her AoE hit. Considering all of her attacks are Cryo damage, it makes for a perfect damage booster for the Adeptus.
C2 - The Auspicious
Constellation effect: Ganyu’s Elemental Skill, Trail of the Qilin, gains 1 additional charge. Importance: Low
Ganyu’s Elemental Skill is a defensive move that diverts the enemies from attacking her. However, having an extra skill is completely irrelevant to Ganyu’s playstyle. This constellation is a build-up for C6 Ganyu, where her skill will be the most important aspect of her rotation.
C4 - Westward Sojourn
Constellation effect: Within the AoE of Ganyu’s Elemental Burst, all enemies receive increased damage over time. This increases by 5% every 3 seconds up to a maximum of 25%. This effect lasts for 3 seconds after opponents leave the AoE. Importance: High
Not only is it a great constellation for Ganyu, but C4 Ganyu can also buff the entire team’s damage against enemies in her Burst’s AoE. If players own this constellation, they should never ignore her Elemental Burst.
C6 - The Clement
Constellation effect: After using Ganyu’s Elemental Skill, the next Frostflake Arrow shot within 30s will not require charging. Importance: Priority
C6 Ganyu is a completely different DPS. Her charged attacks no longer require cast time, so players can hit her bloom instantly twice in a row, then once every 10 seconds. This is a significant increase in her damage, especially when she has all the buffs provided by her previous constellations.
Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
