Elemental Bursts are almost always the strongest part of each character’s kit, and they usually have the largest cooldown. Genshin Impact’s combat system allows players to have up to four different characters in their team composition.

At the top of the list shared by Reddit user aden54321 sits Yae Miko whose Elemental Burst consumes 90 energy, and has a 22-second cooldown. Since her release back in update 2.5, Yae Miko has always been one of the most popular Genshin Impact characters in the game due to her importance to the Inazuma story arc. Her Elemental Burst, Great Secret Art: Tenko Kenshin, causes lightning to strike dealing AoE Electro damage. Upon using this skill, Miko will unseal nearby Sesshou Sakura which will explode and deal even more damage. This means that in order to reach the full damage potential of her Elemental Burst, players should first deploy Miko’s totems by using her Elemental Skill.

Cyno, who is one of the new characters that arrived in Genshin Impact version 3.1, has a 20-second cooldown on his Elemental Burst with an 80 energy cost. Activating Cyno’s burst will turn him into the Pactsworn Pathclearer which converts his Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks into Electro damage. While in this state, Cyno’s resistance to interruption is increased, and he becomes immune to Electro-Charged damage. This effect lasts for 18 seconds which means that players have a two-second window to deploy their supports and sub-DPS characters before Cyno’s burst is up again.

The second five-star character that arrived in the same update is Nilou whose elemental burst takes 70 energy, and it has a 17-second cooldown. The full name of this burst is “Dance of Abzendegi: Distant Dreams, Listening Spring” and players have been complaining about frequent bugs that cause this skill to deal no damage. For now, players continue to wait for HoYoverse to release a hotfix sooner than later.

Raiden Shogun is the only character on the list who has an 18-second cooldown on her burst, but it still takes the same amount of energy as Yae Miko’s Tenko Kenshin. The main reason for this is probably the fact that Raiden is the best character in the game when it comes to recharging energy which means that she can be placed in almost any team composition in the game.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
