Reddit user I3encIcI recently shared an image of their Genshin Impact adventure in which they’ve discovered a Sea Route Log in a Common Chest on an uncharted reef that forms a small island towards the southwest of the map shown. This area of the open world is accessed during the limited-time summer event, meaning Genshin Impact players that wish to see it for themselves only have so long to find it. The event concludes with Genshin Impact’s current update, leaving players with less than 40 days to experience the summer event content on offer outside of this Common Chest such as the Iridescent Flotsam and free 4-Star Fischl skin.

The part of the map portrayed in I3encIcI’s image is called the Golden Apple Archipelago and it’s part of the summer event in an area located east of Genshin Impact’s Mondstadt. I3encIcI has confirmed that the quest item expires if Genshin Impact players aren’t able to locate an Ako Domeki and company treasure in a specific time frame, with theirs expiring at 6:00 on August 24. The item provides the first clue to locating the aforementioned treasure and it navigates Genshin Impact fans to a string of clues leading to the chest full of loot.

Before the events of Genshin Impact’s Midsummer Island Adventure, the Golden Apple Archipelago was known as Haar Islands, but the area has since received a makeover with the new name. According to I3encIcI, the quest started with the Sea Route Log begins a full chain of quests, which means it will take Genshin Impact players longer than simply locating the Common Chest. I3encIcI has clarified that they’re unsure if Genshin Impact fans will need to complete the Miitoboru’s quest in order to begin the aforementioned Common Chest’s quest, but there may be a prerequisite to acquiring the Sea Route Log.

Although some Genshin Impact players may not have discovered this part of the Golden Apple Archipelago event area, others have suggested that they’ve come across the Common Chest themselves. One Genshin Impact fan noted that players will be able to start the corresponding quest by coming across any one of four clues which suggests that another player may start it in a completely different location. While some Genshin Impact players responded to I3encIcI’s post to express enthusiasm for the Summertime Odyssey event, others stated that they don’t have the time for all of the content HoYoverse adds to the ARPG.

Genshin Impact is available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
