Each Genshin Impact update includes two banner cycles which feature one of two limited banners that offer a set of characters for a short period of time. HoYoverse’s official livestream event has confirmed the arrival of three new characters: Candace, Cyno, and Nilou.

However, besides the new characters, the upcoming banners will also include two banner re-runs featuring the fan-favorite Anemo Archon Venti and the famous Geo alchemist Albedo. According to the live stream, Venti will arrive alongside the new Electro polearm character Cyno, and they are scheduled for the first part of the update. Venti is one of the oldest characters in the game, but he is still considered one of, if not the best support in the Genshin Impact by many players.

Venti’s Wind’s Grand Ode is one of the strongest elemental bursts in the game as it has the potential to group up a large number of enemies into a Stormeye that deals damage. He has been the first Archon that was introduced to the game as the protector of the Mondstadt region. A big part of the community claims that the first banner for Genshin Impact update 3.1 could break the current revenue record held by Kamisato Ayaka.

Albedo will be featured on a double banner alongside the new Hydro sword user named Nilou. Since his introduction back in Genshin Impact update 1.2, Albedo has proven to be a very strong support choice who can be used in the famous Geo team composition that features three or four Geo characters including the Liyue Archon, Zhongli. In order to use Albedo to his full potential, players need to prioritize building Defense and Geo Damage.

The fact that Venti is confirmed for this update gives additional credibility to multiple leakers who claimed that the first four Sumeru updates will feature the four Genshin Impact Archons. After Zhongli in 3.0 and Venti in 3.1, players expect the famous Sumeru Archon Nahida to finally join the live servers in 3.2. At the moment, she serves as a quest-exclusive NPC and one of the most important characters in the Sumeru storyline. This could also mean that the famous Electro Archon, Raiden Shogun, could to arrive in update 3.3.

Genshin Impact is now available on mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development with no confirmed release date.
