Genshin Impact’s weapon banners usually consist of two five-star weapons which are much harder to obtain, and five four-star weapons. The previous live stream event has confirmed that update 3.2 will introduce a brand new five-star weapon to the game.

The official Genshin Impact Twitter account has finally revealed all the items that will be featured on the new weapon banner. The only new weapon is a new catalyst called A Thousand Floating Dreams which serves as the signature weapon for the new Dendro Archon Nahida. According to the tweet, the first part of Genshin Impact version 3.2 will feature the following weapons:

A Thousand Floating Dreams - five-star catalyst Thundering Pulse - five-star bow Rust - four-star bow Favonius Lance - four-star polearm The Flute - four-star sword The Widsith - four-star catalyst Sacrificial Greatsword - four-star claymore

A Thousand Floating dreams will apparently be one of the strongest weapons in Genshin Impact, but unfortunately, its use could be very situational. The weapon’s passive provides various buffs to the team based on whether they have the same element as the weapon holder. For every matching element, the weapon will increase the character’s Elemental Mastery by 32. If they have a different element, the elemental damage bonus will get increased by 10%.

On top of all these effects, this catalyst will also increase all nearby team members’ Elemental Mastery by 40. This weapon will be a great choice for all catalyst users that rely on Elemental Mastery which has become one of the main stats in the Sumeru region. The other five-star weapon, Thundering Pulse, is a great choice for most DPS bow users in Genshin Impact.

The two best candidates for this weapon are probably the Pyro user Yoimiya and the 11th Fatui Harbinger Childe. Both of these characters will receive another re-run in the upcoming update, but they will be spread between the two banner cycles. Yoimiya is scheduled to arrive alongside Nahida on the first double banner while Childe is confirmed for the second part of the update which will also include the Electro character Yae Miko.

Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
