With such a vast world to explore, Genshin Impact players often come across interesting and hilarious glitches. A recent post on the official Genshin Impact subreddit shows an intriguing picture of Diluc’s extraordinary skills, as the character appears to set water on fire.

Redditor iydtw does not reveal how they managed to light water on fire, but multiple replies in the comment theorize that it has probably something to do with Diluc’s Elemental Burst – Dawn. This skill allows him to release a fire Phoenix that flies forward dealing loads of Pyro damage to everything in its path. The post gathered a lot of attention in the community as it has over 3k upvotes. Despite having a very frequent character release schedule, developer HoYoverse has not introduced a new Pyro character for a very long time.

Diluc is a Pyro claymore user, and he was considered one of, if not the strongest DPS character in Genshin Impact when he was released as part of the original lineup back in 2020. However, with the introduction of newer and more complex characters, Diluc and many other characters from the lineup have been pushed out of the meta. Nevertheless, he is still a part of the Standard Banner, which is the only permanent banner in Genshin Impact.

Over the last couple of months, players have already started theorizing about a new way that developer HoYoverse can bring the older characters back into the meta. For example, a recent Genshin Impact fan-made concept for another Standard Banner character, Jean, has gathered a lot of attention in the community. The concept would include lifting the power ceiling for certain characters, which would include increasing their level cap to 100 or giving additional effects to her skills.

While older Genshin Impact characters are slowly getting replaced within a team composition, there are some exceptions like the Anemo Archon Venti, who was a part of the first banner cycle of Genshin Impact version 2.6. Even though he was released back in September 2020, his supportive capabilities are hardly matched by any other character in the game. The same can be said about his Archon colleague, who was added to the game in the update that followed Venti’s release.

Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development with no confirmed release date.
