Genshin Impact’s unique approach to character design often inspires casual fans and artists to show their appreciation for a character by creating various types of art. A new post on the popular Genshin Impact subreddit shows a fan-made animation of the game’s most popular captain.

Reddit user ElysseumXV has shared an interesting animation featuring one of Genshin Impact’s most popular characters – Beidou. The animation shows Beidou performing one of her signature skills Tidecaller. The creator reveals that he made the animation after three-crowning Beidou and creating the art took around 18 hours. Fans love the animation, and the Reddit thread has already gathered over 2k upvotes.
Multiple replies in the comment section claim that they love how simple the animation is and how well it represents the character, especially considering that ElysseumXV revealed this was their first take on creating pixelated animations. After multiple requests, the artist noted that Raiden Shogun and Zhongli might be next in line to be featured in a similar art piece. Beidou is a unique Genshin Impact character and the captain of a renowned crew named The Crux.
The game’s story portrays Beidou as a strong Liyue character with an easy-going personality. However, The Liyue Qixing don’t seem to like the fearless captain as she often works in the gray. Beidou’s weapon of choice is the claymore, and her kit has a strong focus on electro damage. Despite being a four-star character, Beidou still proves to be a great addition to almost any type of Genshin Impact team composition. Players often use Beidou for her specific counter-attack capabilities thanks to the Elemental Skill presented in the animation.
This skill allows Beidou to shield herself and absorb incoming damage. Once the shield is broken, Beidou launches a counter-attack that scales on the accumulated damage. She is one of the few characters that can use the Unforged claymore to its full potential as its passive increases the character’s shield strength. The Unforged is currently obtainable on the ongoing Genshin Impact Version 2.6 weapon banner. When it comes to artifact pieces, players often tend to go for two two-piece bonuses that increase her Attack and Electro damage.
Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
