Players arrive in the popular region of Mondstadt when starting out their Genshin Impact adventure, but it isn’t long before they’re venturing out into the Geo-themed Liyue region as well as the popular islands of Inazuma. Both of these regions also bring their own special characters and items with them, giving fans more content to work with.

A Reddit user by the name sailororgana has shared a set of interesting pictures of fan-made Archon-inspired candles on the official Genshin Impact subreddit. The three different candle types represent three out of the seven main elements in the game. Each of these elements is related to the main region in the game meaning that Anemo, Geo, and Electro represent the three main regions Mondstadt, Liyue, and Inazuma. Developer miHoYo usually adds a new large region each year like it was the case with the popular islands of Inazuma in September last year. Recent Genshin Impact leaks have been predicting that this year’s addition will be the long-awaited Sumeru region.

Each nation in the game revolves around its own respective Archon and its divine ideals which are order, freedom, justice, etc. In the case of Sumeru, the God of Wisdom rules in the pursuit of all knowledge. Even though he is one of the rare leaders whose identity hasn’t been revealed yet, it is well known that Sumeru’s Archon is the youngest out of the seven Genshin Impact Archons. In addition, each nation favors a particular element that the Archon originates from. For Sumeru, it follows the lead of the Dendro Archon, whose powers create life from the surrounding desert. As such, players can expect a very flowery and plant-like environment when they enter the nation.

The addition of a new element would give even more combat diversity to the game which left a lot of fans wondering when the Dendro element become playable. Dendro is the only element in the game that still isn’t used by any character at the moment. It could still take some time for it to arrive considering that adding a new element could be tricky because of the complex elemental reaction mechanics. This element has also been tied with another region named Chasm which is rumored to be one of the upcoming Genshin Impact regions. Chasm is already a part of the in-game map, placed southwest of Liyue.

Genshin Impact is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5. A Switch version is currently in development.
