Reddit user MisedraN posted on the Genshin Impact subreddit sharing their incredible discovery related to an in-game object. The post shows an image of an Exploding Barrel that detonates when attacked and deals ATK and AoE damage in Genshin Impact. The user claims they’ve been a Genshin Impact player since version 1.0 but realized a fundamental fact about Exploding Barrels very recently. They discovered that Exploding Barrels are essentially Pyro Slimes trapped in a barrel, as users can see the Slime’s eyes through the hole. The aforementioned information is common knowledge among most Genshin Impact players, but fans like MisedraN were unaware, as seen in the comments.
Slimes are elemental life forms and one of the most common enemies in Genshin Impact who must extract energy to survive. Genshin Impact has many types of slimes based on individual elements, like Anemo Slime, Cryo Slime, and Dendro Slime. Likewise, there are five types of Exploding Barrels in Genshin Impact, and each type has the corresponding Slime. For instance, MisedraN’s post shows a Pyro Exploding Barrel containing a Pyro Slime. Similarly, Electro Exploding Barrels have Electro Slimes, Dendro Exploding Barrels have Dendro Slimes, and so on.
MisedraN’s Reddit post is another example of how hardcore gamers can overlook minute details despite spending countless hours on a title. Moreover, such tiny bits of information are easy to miss in a massive game like Genshin Impact, as the game world is highly complex.
Genshin Impact is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is currently in development with no confirmed release date.
