Before their official release, Genshin Impact characters usually get a series of announcement videos that go deeper into their story and combat abilities. A Reddit user named dehvon has shared an interesting video comparing two character demos featuring the game’s most popular brother/sister duo.

The game’s story has already confirmed that Ayaka and Ayato are siblings and two of the most important members of the famous Kamisato clan. A video posted on the Genshin Impact subreddit points out the similarities between their character demos. Even though Genshin Impact’s developer tends to always bring something new in its trailers and demos, putting almost identical animations in both of their videos seems like a very delicate touch. Both of them use the sword as their main weapon and practice the same sword art.
Many fans continued to be amazed with the level of detail that MiHoYo puts in its character design and the Reddit thread has gathered almost 5k upvotes. Kamisato Ayato has already arrived to the live servers and fans can try their luck on his limited banner. From what has been shown in his official announcement, Ayato could very well be one of the best DPS characters in Genshin Impact. Fans who manage to acquire him should probably turn their attention to the weapon banner in order to equip him with his signature sword, Haran Geppaku Futsu.
Ayato is not the only obtainable character in this banner cycle as MiHoYo brought back the fan-favorite Anemo Archon, Venti, for another re-run. Most players will likely still opt for Ayato, just like it was the case with the previous banner where around 80% players chose Yae Miko over Kokomi on their double banner. However, Venti is still one of the strongest supports in the game, and a great fit for any team composition.
Many fans have accurately predicted Ayaka’s first re-run to arrive at the same update her brother officially joins the playable roster. Ayaka is one of the most beloved characters in Genshin Impact and that is probably one of the main reasons why she wasn’t paired with Ayato on the same banner. Genshin Impact usually tends to avoid putting two popular characters on the same banner, unless both of them are re-runs.
Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development with no confirmed release date.
