Genshin Impact has seen a plethora of permanent game features added to the massively popular RPG since its launch in September 2020. The introduction of the teapot in Version 1.5 was later joined by a farming system added within the housing system, allowing players to more easily acquire precious resources for raising their characters. The most recent update introduced a brand-new game mode to Genshin Impact with the addition of the Genius Invokation TCG. Now, a particularly inventive Genshin fan has brought another game into the RPG through their teapot.

Reddit user russ_victoria showed off their teapot creation on the Genshin Impact subreddit, featuring an abridged version of the iconic World 1-1 from the original Super Mario Bros. While the game’s item limit does not allow the user to include the full level, the recognizable opening and ending segments are re-imagined using crates and wells. Towering mushrooms and patches of grass are used to indicate different bricks where mushrooms or coins would be hidden in the original version. The post even links to a short video demonstrating the level starring Kazuha as Mario.
Genshin Impact’s Serenitea Pot housing system has been a popular feature among many fans looking to flex their creative instincts with the game. Clipping has become a popular part of the game’s systems, allowing players to stick furnishings together to create wholly different looks within Genshin Impact. While fans have been concerned that HoYoVerse may eventually do away with the unintended ability for players to clip objects together, the developer has yet to fully patch out clipping. The housing system has also featured frequent updates since its debut, adding new furnishings and realms.
As Genshin Impact moves towards the halfway point of its Version 3.3 update, many fans are looking ahead to the highly-anticipated content to come. Version 3.3’s second half is set to feature the return of one of the game’s most popular characters in Raiden Shogun alongside Kamisato Ayato for its featured banners. The upcoming Version 3.4 update will also see two new characters added to the game, between major Sumeru character Alhaitham and the long-rumored Yaoyao. HoYoVerse seems to have plenty in store for Genshin Impact fans in the near future.
Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
