So far, developer HoYoverse has introduced three main regions to the game: Mondstadt, Liyue, and the islands of Inazuma. Each of those nations has its unique Archon who serves as its ruler and protector. A new post on the popular Genshin Impact subreddit shows an interesting design of one of the most iconic Archons in the game.

Redditor ClaymoreUser2211 has shared his impressive design featuring Tsaritsa, the legendary Cryo Archon. Her official appearance is still unknown, but she is another member of The Seven who rules over the nation of Snezhnaya. The game’s official story has revealed that Tsaritsa uses her loyal Fatui followers to intimidate the six other nations of Teyvat in order get rid of the Old World. The creator of the design hinted that his version of Tsaritsa shares a lot of similarities with Bronya Zaychik from HoYoverse’s other popular title, Honkai Impact 3rd.
Each major nation in Genshin Impact is based on a real location in the world and previous leaks have revealed that Snezhnaya is based on Russia. Another hint that speaks to this theory is the fact that the Russian translation of the name Tsaritsa means Queen or Empress. Even Honkai’s Bronya is a Russian orphan raised by assassins after the second Honkai War.
It would not come as a surprise if the official design for the Cryo Archon looks similar to Bronya considering that Genshin Impact took a lot of inspiration from Honkai Impact 3rd when it comes to the character design. For example, Raiden Shogun and Raiden Mei have a very similar appearance, and they share the same element and weapon type. According to the lore, another thing that makes Tsaritsa one of the strongest characters in Genshin Impact is her ability to grant unnatural powers called Delusions which work similarly to the more popular Visions that grant the ability to manipulate an element.
While Tsaritsa seems to be one of the most anticipated characters in the community, players most likely won’t have the options to add her to their playable roster fairly soon. Each major update brings a new major region and the most recent Genshin Impact leaks have confirmed that the upcoming Version 3.0 will most likely introduce the mysterious region named Sumeru along with its Dendro Archon, also known as Lesser Lord Kusanali and Lord of Wisdom.
Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development with no confirmed release date.
