Since the game arrived back in September 2020, players have been able to acquire a couple of interesting glider skins by completing exciting quests. Some gliders, like The Wings of Feasting, have been introduced to the game as part of the collaboration event between Genshin Impact and KFC, the American fast-food restaurant chain.

Reddit user oversaItedcat has shared three exciting glider concepts based on various Genshin Impact themes, including Ruin machines, Sumeru’s desert, and the Khaenri’ah region. The concepts were well-received in the community as the post reached over 5k upvotes with many fans hoping that HoYoverse adds similar gliders in the future. The creator is known in the community for sharing similar Genshin Impact projects that always gather tons of attention.
They also revealed that the Ruin glider was inspired by the wings of Ruin Drakes, which are powerful monsters that can be found all over Sumeru’s rainforest. The Khaenri’ah gliders were apparently inspired by a popular Genshin Impact character named Dainsleif, who appeared in several important quests. The story revealed that he was the former captain of the Royal Guard of Khaenri’ah, cursed with immortality.
This region was destroyed during the famous cataclysm a couple of hundred years ago, which led to the creation of the Abyss Order, a mysterious organization that includes dangerous monsters. Even though Dainsleif is expected to become a playable character in the future, players will probably have to wait a long time before he joins the roster. The third glider was inspired by the recently added Sumeru deserts, which quickly became a fan-favorite.
Even though Sumeru’s official gliders can already be acquired, there is a chance that players will receive a new desert-inspired glider after all of Sumeru’s parts become explorable. Recent rumors have been hinting that the upcoming Genshin Impact update 3.4 could introduce a new part of the desert that would complete the whole Dendro region.
Genshin Impact is available on mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5, with a Switch version also in development with no confirmed release date.
