Both characters are part of the first banner of the current Genshin Impact update, which also features the five-star Geo user Arataki Itto. Players who want to acquire these limited characters have three more weeks, as their banner is scheduled to expire around December 27.

Reddit user BluwulfX has shared an interesting screenshot comparing Wanderer’s trailer video with Raiden Shogun’s and Miko’s idle animations, which can be triggered by being inactive in the game. All three scenes that feature the characters encountering a bird have different outcomes, especially in Yae’s case. At the end of Genshin Impact’s most recent character demo, “Wanderer: Of Solitude Past and Present,” the new Anemo character chases off a familiar bird. However, the same bird can be seen in Raiden Shogun’s idle animation in which the Electro Archon seems to admire the animal by letting it rest on her hand.

The bird also manages to land on Yae Miko’s hand, but it gets quickly snatched by her spirit fox. Even though Wanderer arrived during the Sumeru arc, he is actually related to Inazuma’s Electro Archon. The Anemo user was initially meant to be the leader of Inazuma, but Ei sealed his powers and let him wander alone through Teyvat, where he joined the infamous Fatui organization, which is one of the main antagonist factions in the game.

Wanderer has an interesting mark on his neck, just like Raiden Shogun, which also indicates that he was created to be the Electro Archon. Even though he is now known as an Anemo user, Wanderer used to have the ability to control the Electro element with the help of Tsaritsa’s Delusions.

Yae Miko is known as Raiden Shogun’s best friend and most loyal servant. She is also an Electro character who watches over the Grand Narukami Shrine in Inazuma. Even though she mainly appears in her human form, Yae Miko is actually a kitsune, which is a unique type of fox in Inazuma that can shapeshift.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
