The main reason behind the hype for the trailer is the fact that it is the first time HoYoverse revealed the faces of all the Fatui Harbingers. A number of fan-made theories about Harbingers have already started to emerge in the Genshin Impact community.

One particular Harbinger by the name Pantalone has gathered a lot of attention due to his similarities with a popular Genshin Impact character named Baizhu. Reddit user RagnvindrHeir has shared an interesting post comparing the similarities between the two characters. Multiple replies in the comment section claim that it HoYoverse based on their looks, it wouldn’t be accurate to say that the similarities are coincidental.
A couple of fans claim that they could also be the same person and Baizhu’s character could be just a performance by Pantalone in order to gather as much information as possible from the Liyue region. At the moment, Baizhu is just a famous Genshin Impact NPC known for appearing in a couple of quests. He is also the owner of the popular Bubu Pharmacy located in the north part of Liyue Harbor.
Another popular theory claims that Baizhu and Pantalone are brothers who contrast each other in many ways. Despite the similarities in their appearance, they have completely different color palettes. Baizhu has one of the most colorful character designs in the game while Pantalone, like many other Harbingers, shares a gray color scheme. Fans suspect that one of the upcoming Genshin Impact stories will probably reveal more information about the two characters.
The unique thing about Baizhu is the fact he was the first Dendro character to appear in the game. This led many players to believe that he will be the first Dendro Vision holder to join the playable roster, however, it seems as though developer HoYoverse had other plans. With the addition of the new Sumeru region, multiple leaks have already revealed a number of characters that should arrive in the foreseeable future, but none of them mentioned Baizhu’s name.
Genshin Impact is available for mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5, with a Nintendo Switch version also in development.
