Whether it’s sharing presents or playing games with friends, the holidays can serve as a great time to bring everyone together to share what each other loves. In this case, that love happens to be a shared enjoyment of Genshin Impact, the free-to-play RPG game from developer HoYoverse. With a die-hard fanbase surrounding the game, there’s no surprise that a few passionate fans wanted to include the day into their holiday celebration.

In a brief video posted to the Genshin Impact subreddit by user Alldrean, the clip shows a quick montage of friends arriving to the party decked out in their holiday-themed costumes. Just to name a few of the characters that were included in the party, Itto, Xiao, and Yelan make an appearance, but possibly the best one of all was a Primogem Santa; which is very literally someone dressed as Santa but with a Primogem taped to their face.
In the Reddit video, everyone attending the party is dressed in their best holiday sweaters while wearing wigs that pertain to their favorite Genshin Impact characters. Raiden, Yae, and Sara walk in as a group, followed by Thoma who can be seen coming in sweeping with a swiffer while Xianling, Ganyu, and Ningguang bring in a turkey. Everyone’s costumes that are showcased in the video are a great holiday-themed tribute to Genshin Impact, but the Primogem Santa revealed at the end of the video is a great bonus addition to the group.
Genshin Impact has a wonderfully creative fan base that contain many players who enjoy bringing their love for the game into their every-day lives. A variety of fans of Genshin Impact have taken unique ways to pay their tributes to the HoYoverse title. During this time of year, many people are offered a small break from the hustle and bustle of everything else in the world. Video games also provide this same escape, but year round, so melding a holiday celebration with a game a group of friends has bonded over serves as a great, positive way to bring the year to a close.
Genshin Impact is available on mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5 with a Switch version currently in development.
