Xamaran can be found in the Glowing Narrows, southwest of the Underground Chasm. As players reach the area, the Genshin Impact World Quest will trigger on its own, where Paimon and the Traveler hear a sound that calls for them.

How to Follow the Water’s Flow and Search for the Source of the Foul Energy in Genshin Impact
In the Dimming Mushroom’s Call for Help Genshin Impact Quest, at one point, players have to follow the water’s flow and search for the source of the foul energy. There will be no indicator for this task, so Travelers have to do as told and follow the water’s flow.
Follow the water’s stream to the north until Travelers reach the orange area. Paimon will make a remark once players arrive at the spot.
In the distance, there should be a Pyro Abyss Mage around an Oozing Concretion.
Once the players come close to the enemy, Electro and Hydro Abyss Mages will also appear. People have to make sure they bring the correct characters in the party to counter it. Here are the best Elements for each Abyss Mage:
Electro Abyss Mage: Pyro or Cryo Pyro Abyss Mage: Hydro Hydro Abyss Mage: Cryo
Travelers can also use neutral Elements like Geo and Anemo to handle all kinds of shields. However, it will take longer to break the Abyss Mages’ protection.
Once the enemies are defeated, use the Lumenstone Adjuvant to destroy the Oozing Concretion. Then, use the Blessings of Wisdom given by Xamaran on the same spot.
A mushroom will sprout from the ground, completely removing the Genshin Impact Dark Mud. Next to it, a Precious Chest will spawn.
After following the water’s flow and searching for the source of the foul energy, go back to Xamaran and talk to it. This will end the Dimming Mushroom’s Call For Help Questline.
For helping the giant mushroom, players will earn The Mushroom That Asks Too Much Achievement. As usual, this Genshin Impact Wonders of the World Achievement grants five Primogems. Meanwhile, the quest itself has the following rewards:
Adventure EXP x300 Mora x30,000 Primogems x40 Hero’s Wit x3 Mystic Enhancement Ore x3
