RELATED: Genshin Impact: How To Help Shitoki Cross Over (All Conch Locations)

Just like Grandma Una, Abe’s quest is time-gated, although it is not as time-consuming. The spirit’s request is a part of the Hidden Boatman quest, and travelers can find this Boatman southeast of Shirikoro Peak.

Abe’s Location In Genshin Impact

To find Abe, players have to go to the underwater ruin between Shirikoro Peak and Chirai Shrine. Nearby, there is an ancient mural and a torch puzzle. Right next to them is some Fluorescent Fungus. To spawn Abe, players have to harvest all of the fungi.

How To Help Abe Cross Over In Genshin Impact

After taking all the fungus, Abe will appear and scold the players. Immediately afterward, the spirit will disappear.

To help Abe cross over, come back to the same spot after 48 hours. After this amount of time, the Fluorescent Fungus would have respawned. Just like last time, pick up all the fungus. Abe will appear again. This time, the ghost is angry because the traveler is picking their mushrooms.

After that, travelers will offer to help Abe. Abe says that he has always wanted to see the mushrooms outside of Tsurumi Island. He believes there are other mushrooms in the world, but Grandma Una doesn’t believe him. Therefore, before Abe is willing to cross over, players have to hand him three Philanemo Mushrooms and three regular Mushrooms.

Philanemo Mushrooms are commonly found stuck to buildings in the City of Mondstadt. They can also be bought from Chloris, an NPC found in Mondstadt’s Windrise.

Mushrooms are found in most open outdoor areas. Alternatively, Chef Mao at Liyue Harbor’s Wanmin Restaurant sells them.

Once these ingredients are presented, Abe will be impressed to see that there really are other mushrooms in the world. As a reward, the spirit leaves behind an Exquisite Chest containing 20 Primogems and 30,000 Mora.

Why Are There Trapped Spirits On Tsurumi Island?

Tsurumi Island is also called The Sea of Fog because the land is covered by thick mist. As a result, the inhabitants have never seen the stars, the sky, or even anything outside the island. However, this hasn’t always been the case. Previously, the island was completely normal. But one day, for a reason not yet known, something dropped from the heavens and fog started to emerge and cover the island.

The people off Tsurumi thought that it was the Thunderbird’s way to protect them. Therefore, to honor the bird’s protection, the tribe held a sacred ceremony where they sacrificed someone for the Thunderbird. At the last ceremony, the people sacrificed a little boy whom the Thunderbird loved dearly. Consumed by grief and anger, the Thunderbird erased everyone from the face of the world. Ever since then, some spirits have been trapped on the island.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
