Inazuma, which is one of Genshin Impact’s main nations, was added back in September 2021, which means that another major region is on the horizon. While there are no official announcements, numerous leaks have already confirmed that the game’s story will lead players into a popular region named Sumeru.

A popular Genshin Impact leaker named Ubatcha1 has shared more information about two new characters that should arrive in the future. Both the Collei and the Dendro Archon will be tied with a new region that should arrive in the next major update. According to the leak, Collei is scheduled to arrive in Genshin Impact update 3.0, which should release around August 15 this year. The Dendro Archon Kusanali will apparently arrive in the following 3.1 update that should drop at the end of September. The leak also confirms that both of these characters will be using a new Element called Dendro.

The God of Wisdom, Kusanali serves as the protector of the Sumeru, which will most likely be the next major region to be added to the game after Mondstadt, Liyue, and Inazuma. Each of the regions has a signature element, and Sumeru will finally bring the long-awaited Dendro element. This will probably have a significant impact on the current character tier lists due to the new elemental reactions. Fans are expecting Dendro reactions to have independent elemental reactions similar to Geo.

There is a lot of information about Collei since she’s a part of the game’s official manga. She is known to be extremely suspicious of people, preferring to be left alone. Her official story is tied to Amber, who is one of the first characters that players encounter in their Genshin Impact journey. The leak claims that Collei will be released alongside two other Bow characters.

Genshin Impact’s Sumeru update will probably bring an abundance of Dendro characters. Two of them, Baizhu and Yaoyao, have been rumored since the game’s official release back in September 2020. Baizhu has appeared in multiple Liyue quests, and he’s the owner of the famous Bubu Pharmacy. He’s recognizable due to a talking white snake called Changsheng that is wrapped around his neck.

Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development with no confirmed release date.
