The addition of a new major region is always followed with a significant expansion of the playable roster. A new Genshin Impact leak reveals additional information about a brand-new character that should arrive in the foreseeable future.

A popular leaker named Ubatcha1 has apparently revealed the appearance of a character that will arrive in the new major update. If the leak is accurate, he will be an expy based on a character from Honkai Impact 3rd named Su. Su plays a less important role in one of the game’s Second Key manga. Previous leaks have revealed that he will most likely be equipped with the long-awaited Dendro element and recent rumors have been hinting that the new character will apparently have a high-ranking position in the new major region meaning that he will most likely be very close to the Dendro Archon - Lesser Lord Kusanali.

Multiple Genshin Impact characters have their design based on HoYoverse’s second most popular title - Honkai Impact 3rd. For example, the recently added Yae Miko shares a lot of similarities with Yae Sakura, from their overall color palette, to the unique hairstyle.

Even though the leaks should be taken with a grain of salt, it should be noted that Ubatcha1 is one of the most credible active leakers in the game’s community. He has already debunked previous rumors by revealing that the new character’s name will apparently not be named Su. There is already a lot of hype around this mysterious character in the community, especially considering that he will probably be one of the first Dendro users in the game. At the moment there are seven different elements in Genshin Impact, and each character in the game has the ability to control one of them.

However, the game is yet to introduce the first Dendro characters to the playable roster. The new element has the potential to completely shift the current Genshin Impact meta, especially since two new elemental reactions, Intensified and Overgrown, have already been leaked. Intensified will apparently grant a significant damage buff once Dendro and Electro are combined. Combining Hydro with the new Dendro element will trigger Overgrown which will cause explosive seeds to drop on the floor.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
