Each Genshin Impact update has its beta phase which usually includes most of the upcoming content. The beta usually begins once a new update drops meaning that the Genshin Impact 2.6 beta likely arrived at the same time Genshin Impact Version 2.5 join the live servers. A recent post on the Genshin Impact Leaks subReddit has finally revealed the gameplay animations for one of the upcoming characters, the long-awaited Hydro vision holder: Kamisato Ayato.
Multiple leaks have already confirmed that Ayato’s ascension stats are Crit damage which means that he will most likely be a strong Genshin Impact DPS character. The video shows that his Elemental Burst periodically deals Hydro damage in a large area which means that he could also have strong sub-DPS capabilities. The majority of the community already claims that Ayato’s design already exceeded all expectations even though his final damage numbers are not even released yet.
Kamisato Ayato is one of the most anticipated characters in the game. When his voice was teased in an official video, fans went wild with the theory that his arrival might be sooner than expected. Multiple in-game NPCs have already stated that Ayato is a skilled sword and polearm user, however, it seems like miHoYo decided to equip him with a sword. Previous Genshin Impact leaks have revealed that his Elemental skill is named Shuumatsu Art, and it allows Ayato to dash sideways while casting forward an empty shell of himself that taunts enemies.
Ayato was originally rumored to be released alongside another four-star character Shikanoin Heizou. Unlike Ayato, there is not much information about Heizou other than that he’s a detective. Shikanoin Heizou is a popular Inazuma detective who works for the Tenryu Commission. His unique way of investigating often gives the impression that he puts his own priorities over duties which makes him disliked by his superiors such as the well-known character Kojou Sara.
Genshin Impact is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is currently in development.
