A new Genshin Impact leak has revealed more information about one of the upcoming characters named Nilou. Nilou is rumored to be a new five-star character expected to arrive in one of the upcoming Genshin Impact updates. According to the leak, Nilou’s kit will have the following effects:

Passive Talent allows Bloom seeds to Rupture immediately boosting its multipliers. Elemental Skill will have four different sword slashes. Nilou will perform the first sword slash upon activating the skill, however, the remaining three attacks can be triggered by her pressing skill button or by performing a Normal Attack. Even though they have a similar effect, the slashes have different animations. Nilou’s Elemental Burst deals Hydro damage in a large area around her. Upon inflicting damage to a target, she will deal additional splash damage.

Both her skills have an 18-second cooldown, which is the main reason why players think that she won’t be a new DPS character in Genshin Impact. However, the leak also confirms that acquiring her last constellation will remove the four-slash limit on her elemental skill, and it will allow her to have constant Hydro infusion, something unusual for sword characters. Nilou’s C6 has the potential to completely change her playstyle from being a Hydro support to the main DPS character.

Even though developer HoYoverse is yet to confirm her release date, it’s clear by now that she won’t appear in the first Sumeru update since the game’s official social media accounts already announced three different characters: Tighnari, Dori, and Collei. Recent Genshin Impact leaks have been hinting that she will most likely appear alongside another five-star character named Cyno in update 3.1.

Multiple fans in the comment section don’t seem too happy about the fact that in order to make Nilou a main DPS, they have to build her up to C6. However, these leaks should still be taken with a grain of salt, especially considering that there is still a lot of time before Genshin Impact Version 3.1 arrives on the live servers.

Genshin Impact is available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is currently in development.
