Numerous rumors claim that a new major nation is just around the corner and so are new characters tied to the region. One of those characters is a protagonist from the Genshin Impact manga, the long-awaited Collei.

A credible Genshin Impact leaker named SaveYourPrimos has revealed more information about Collei. Apparently her kit is already done, which indicates that she could arrive fairly soon. The leak reveals that she might be able to control elemental powers without having a vision. Depending on which Vision they have, Genshin Impact characters can use one of seven elements. The reason why Collei does not have a Vision could be due to her being a subject of the Archon Residue research. The manga already revealed that these experiments resulted in unnatural powers even without a Vision. According to the lore, Collei was born sickly which led her parents to give her to the Fatui in order to save her life. Instead of saving Collei, they turned her into an Archon Residue experiment.
Previously another Genshin Impact leaker named Ubatcha1 apparently revealed the release date for Collei and another character. According to the leak, Collei should arrive around Genshin Impact Version 3.0 which, assuming update 2.8 is the last one from the Inazuma arc, should drop mid-August this year.
Another character mentioned by the leak is one of the main protagonists of the upcoming major update, the Dendro Archon Kusanali. The new archon, also known as the God of Wisdom, serves as a protector for the Sumeru region, which is rumored to be a part of the next big map extension. The leak claims that Kusanali should arrive in the update that follows Collei’s release, which is Genshin Impact Version 3.1. The two previous Archons, Raiden Shogun and Zhongli, were both added on the first extension of a new major update.
One of the most exciting things about the new updates will certainly be the addition of a brand-new Genshin Impact Element which currently does not exist as a part of a playable character’s kit. The Dendro element will add new elemental reactions which will have a great impact on the character meta, especially in the Spiral Abyss. According to previous leaks, Dendro will work best when paired with the Electro and Pyro elements.
Genshin Impact is available on PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices, with a Nintendo Switch version in development.
