Costumes have been one of the main topics in the Genshin Impact community in the past couple of weeks. Between Version 2.4 adding skins for Ningguang and Keqing and recent leaks hinting at skins for Mondstadt characters Fischl and Diluc, the game’s player base encountered many rumors and theories on other skins that could arrive in the upcoming Genshin Impact updates.

The first couple two Genshin Impact skins were introduced in The Midsummer Island Adventure event back in update 1.6. It seems as though miHoYo usually doesn’t give too much attention to the in-game cosmetics, but things are about to change. The official Genshin Impact social media accounts have already confirmed the arrival of alternate outfits for four popular characters: Jean, Mona, Rosaria, and Amber. A recent post on the popular Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit has revealed a side-by-side comparison between the current basic skins and the upcoming outfits.

While most of the outfits revealed in the Reddit thread are only minor alterations to the original designs, the Cryo polearm user Rosaria will see some significant changes. No information was given about whether the new outfits would be free or premium but the relatively minor changes to several of the included outfits would lean towards the skins being free. There is no official release date for the skins but most players are expecting them to be released in the upcoming Genshin Impact update 2.5. Previous leaks have also suggested Mondstadt characters would be the next to receive skins following the release of Keqing and Ningguang’s formal attire.

2022 has so far been a great year for Genshin Impact players as it introduced two brand-new characters, Shenhe and Yun Jin in current update 2.4. The update also features banner re-runs for three of the fan-favorite characters. Xiao has been placed alongside Shenhe in the first banner cycle while Ganyu and Zhongli will arrive in a couple of days as part of the second banner cycle that features another Genshin Impact double re-run. In addition to that, the official Genshin Impact social media accounts have already confirmed a new character that will arrive in update 2.5, the long-awaited Electro catalyst Yae Miko.

Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
