Recent Genshin Impact leaks have been hinting that after Mondstadt, Liyue, and Inazuma, the arrival of a new main region named Sumeru is just around the corner. Each nation in the game has its own symbolic element which means that Sumeru will most likely introduce the upcoming Dendro element.

A popular Genshin Impact leaker named GenshinBLANK has revealed the skill description for one of the upcoming characters named Tighnari. He will apparently be a new five-star Dendro character who should arrive one of the banners for update 3.0. According to the leak, Tighnari’s Elemental Skill and Burst will have the following effects:
Elemental Skill: Tighnari throws an object that deals ranged AoE Dendro damage, and it generates a field where enemies enter a state of ‘chaos’. He gains reduced charged time for his stronger Charged Attack for the duration of his skill Elemental Burst: Tighnari’s gathers the power of all seeds and fires arrows that follow nearby enemies, dealing Dendro damage in the process. Upon hitting an enemy, the shots generate additional arrows that spread to nearby enemies and deal Dendro damage. Tighnari’s passive will allow him to display locations of nearby resources exclusive for the new Sumeru region.
There is a lot of hype around this new character at the moment, probably because he will be the first five-star in the game that uses the new Dendro element. Fan-made theories claim that the name Tighnari is based on a popular Arab scientist by the name Al-Tighnari which makes sense considering that recent rumors have revealed that Sumeru is based on Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
With numerous leaks floating around the community, it’s pretty much confirmed that the new major update will introduce the new Dendro element. Most recent leaks have revealed that the new element will be able to trigger at least two new elemental reactions called Intensified and Overgrown. However, there is a chance that there will be additional elemental reactions tied to the new element.
Tighnari will apparently be one out of three characters that will join the playable roster in update 3.0. The two remaining four-star characters are the long-awaited Dendro user Collei, and a new Electro character named Dori. According to previous leaks, Collei will be a unique four-star character who is able to control elemental powers without possessing a Vision or any other special gadget.
Genshin Impact is now available on mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Nintendo Switch version is currently being developed.
