Alhaitham is a dedicated Sumeru Akademiya scribe with his own motives and ambitions for the nation’s scholarly network. The Traveler and Paimon first encounter Alhaitham during Genshin Impact’s first series of Sumeru Archon Quests in version 3.0. At first, Alhaitham may appear as a shady individual working for the sole interests of the Akademiya, but he’s mostly focused on the betterment of Sumeru and its people. Alongside Liyue’s Yaoyao, Alhaitham will become a playable character in Genshin Impact’s next major update.

A leak from the Genshin Impact version 3.4 beta test depicts Alhaitham with several different gliders from a player’s inventory. Originally, the leak was posted to Chinese social media platform bilibili, but Reddit user u/Psychological-Arm893 compiled the leaked images of Alhaitham into a single Reddit post. In the leak, the player equips and tests out gliders such as the Wings of First Flight, the Wings of Golden Flight, and the Wings of the Forest. Alhaitham is shown hovering in his signature Akademiya scribe outfit, which holds his Dendro vision.
Fan reception for Alhaitham in China appears to be high with several bilibili users expressing excitement for Genshin Impact version 3.4. The Wings of the Forest and the Wings of First Flight gliders seem to be popular choices for Alhaitham since the designs match his scribe uniform. Players currently exploring Sumeru may acquire the Wings of the Forest glider by raising the region’s reputation level to 10. The region’s reputation system is unlocked after progressing through the majority of the Sumeru story.
Alhaitham is expected to be the most powerful Dendro user yet in Genshin Impact, and his fashion sense and personality makes him one of the most desired in the game thus far. In fact, prior Genshin Impact leaks revealed the Alhaitham’s powerful Dendro capabilities after triggering the Spread elemental reaction.
Players will soon be able to equip different gliders and soar across Teyvat with Alhaitham once Genshin Impact version 3.4 is available globally. The upcoming Genshin Impact version 3.4 special program on January 6 will reveal new details about the upcoming update including Yaoyao, Alhaitham, new events, and the launch date. Fans can also expect new promo codes, which will surely help toward summoning Alhaitham from the new event wish soon.
Genshin Impact is available now for Android, iOS, PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. A Nintendo Switch version is currently in development with no confirmed release date.
