In Genshin Impact 3.0, this pattern continues with the release of Tighnari and Ganyu. The Dendro archer gives off a similar vibe to the Qilin, which leads to people calling Tighnari a “Dendro Ganyu.” Luckily, though, this isn’t completely true. As it turns out, the Forest Ranger is quite different from the Adepti. Therefore, if players are torn between pulling for Tighnari or Ganyu, here’s everything they’ll need to know.

Tighnari And Ganyu In Genshin Impact

While Ganyu and Tighnari both wield bows in Genshin Impact, their core mechanics are different. To know which character to pull for, players need to assess and compare a few important things in their kits, like:

Their weapons Their artifacts Their playstyle Their character roles

Weapons

Tighnari’s best weapon in Genshin Impact is Hunter’s Path, while Ganyu’s best-in-slot is Amos’ Bow. Both can decently operate with F2P 4-star weapons, such as Prototype Crescent. Surprisingly, Tighnari can still go more F2P by wielding an R5 Slingshot.

In conclusion, both Ganyu and Tighnari are flexible when choosing their weapons and can deal fairly decent damage with any bow in their hands. For older players that put enough time on the standard banner, they can have at least one Amos’ Bow, which makes pulling for Ganyu a more effective choice.

Artifacts

As for artifacts, both Tighnari and Ganyu can greatly operate with Wanderer’s Troupe since the artifact’s 4-set passive adds 35% to their Charged attacks damage, which is their primary source of damage.

The difference between the two characters is that Ganyu counts more on ATK% while Tighnari depends on elemental mastery to trigger higher damage on his reactions. So, Ganyu’s other choices contain artifact sets like Shimenawa’s Reminiscence. As for Tighnari, Gilded Dreams perfectly fits him since it boosts his elemental mastery and ATK% at the same time.

Playstyle

While Ganyu’s kit is AoE, Tighnari deals significant damage to single targets. The difference between the two units is massive since Ganyu needs nothing to perform well while Tighnari needs Quicken and Spread through Dendro elemental reactions in Genshin Impact. Ganyu can stay on the field for as long as needed, while Tighnari can get on the field, inflict crazy damage in a few seconds, then leave.

Character Roles

Ganyu is one of the most diverse Cryo users in Genshin Impact. Many people are fascinated by her hard-hitting arrows. They sleep on the fact that Ganyu can fit any role, including main DPS, Sub-DPS, or even a Support.

On the other hand, Tighnari is stricter in his role. The Forest Ranger can perfectly operate as a quick-swap Sub-DPS, but only that.

Tighnari Or Ganyu In Genshin Impact?

To summarize, players should pull for Tighnari if they:

Have Prototype Crescent or Slingshot or don’t want to bother with getting any weapon Have Wanderer’s Troupe or want to farm Gilded Dreams artifacts Want a single target unit that can quickly enter and leave the field Want a Sub-DPS that can fit his role effectively

To summarize, players should pull for Ganyu if they:

Have Amos’ Bow, Blackcliff Warbow, or Prototype Crescent Have Wanderer’s Troupe or Shimenawa’s Reminiscence artifacts Want an AoE beast that can deal massive damage without elemental reactions Want a diverse unit that can help players in many roles
