Version 2.3 of Genshin Impact saw the arrival of the Omni-Ubiquity Net, a brand new gadget that allows players to capture the essence of animals in the open world. One of the trickiest creature types that players can catch with the Net are the elusive Crystalflies, which come in Cryo, Geo, Electro, and Anemo forms. Catching a Crystalfly with the Net will earn players the “Not Flyin’ Away This Time!” achievement, which is worth 5 Primogens.

How to Use the Omni-Ubiquity Net
Before players can think about tracking down a Crystalfly, they’ll first need to buy and master the Omni-Ubiquity Net. The first step is completing the Omni-Ubiquity Net world quest, which will award 10 Nets on completion, as well as unlock the ability to purchase more from Wakamurasaki in Inazuma City. Additional Nets cost 10,000 Mora each, and Wakamurasaki carries a stock of 5, which refreshes weekly.
When a player uses the Net, it will replace their active character’s Elemental Skill with the capture ability. This can be tapped for a quick throw, or held down for aiming. All players need to do to capture a Crystalfly with the Net and complete the achievement is to throw one so that the Crystalfly is in the splash zone.
Where to find Crystalflies in Genshin Impact
Crystalflies are some of the most elusive creatures in the world of Genshin Impact, thanks to their habit of flying away as soon as a player gets close. Fortunately, they can be found all over Tevyat, with a different elemental flavor depending on the region. Here are the best spots for finding all the elements:
Anemo Crystalflies: Found in Mondstadt, with the easiest place to search being around the Dawn Winery and the nearby Statue of the Seven. Cryo Crystalflies: Found on Dragonspine, with the easiest place to search being just south-west of the Entombed City Outskirts Geo Crystalflies: Found in Liyue, with the easiest place to search being beside the Domain of Guyun. Electro Crystalflies: Found in Inazuma, with the easiest place to search being Serai Island, particularly the far south section.
Once players have found a group of Crystalflies, they’ll want to get their Omni-Ubiquity Net ready before approaching. Players who have the character Sayu on their team can take advantage of her Yoohoo Art: Silencer’s Secret Talent, which will prevent the flies from fleeing. If not, simply approach carefully and throw a Net to catch a Crystalfly and complete the “Not Flyin’ Away This Time!” achievement.
Genshin Impact is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5, with a Switch version in development.
