This makes her an instant match with any other character that needs a Pyro user to accompany them. Of course, as a 4-star, to effectively use Xiangling in any team composition, players have to assess if her Constellations are worth it or not.

Is Getting Xiangling’s Constellations Worth It In Genshin Impact?

Xiangling’s Constellations definitely improve her ability to operate as a Sub-DPS in Genshin Impact. However, she can still be a solid unit without them. Her C4 is her best Constellation since it turns her into an overpowered off-filed unit. For that Constellation alone, getting Xiangling’s Constellations is worth it in Genshin Impact.

C1 - Crispy Outside, Tender Inside

Effect: Opponents hit by Guoba’s attacks have their Pyro RES reduced by 15% for 6s. Importance: Medium

C1 Xiangling has one of the most important passives in her Constellations. Shredding enemies’ Pyro resistance by 15% is a big drive for Xiangling and the other Pyro users in her Genshin Impact team. Unfortunately, it’s way too clunky to depend on. The effect only applies when Guoba hits an opponent with his flames, which is hard to happen since it’s difficult to control his positioning. C1 Xiangling effect is still a solid passive though, especially against big enemies that don’t move much.

C2 - Oil Meets Fire

Effect: The last attack in a Normal Attack sequence applies the Implode status onto the opponent for 2s. An explosion will occur once this duration ends, dealing 75% of Xiangling’s ATK as AoE Pyro DMG. Importance: Low

C2 Xiangling effect slightly enhances her ability to operate as a main DPS, giving her a small boost to her Normal attacks. This Genshin Impact Constellation is completely negligible as it doesn’t match her Sub-DPS role. The most important positive in Xiangling’s kit is her ability to inflict massive DMG on the battlefield without consuming more than 3 seconds.

C4 - Slowbake

Effect: Pyronado’s duration is increased by 40%. Importance: Priority

Xiangling before and after C4 is a completely different DPS unit in Genshin Impact. C4 Xiangling has her Elemental Burst’s duration increased by almost half the period, which further improves her ability to be an off-field Sub-DPS. If players are planning to use Xiangling in their future team comps, having this Constellation is a must to maximize her efficiency.

C6 - Condensed Pyronado

Effect: For the duration of Pyronado, all party members receive a 15% Pyro DMG Bonus. Importance: High

C6 Xiangling gets a good buff for her and the other Pyro users in her team. That 15% increase in her Pyro DMG will improve her Elemental Burst and help her operate better in her role as an off-field Sub-DPS. Characters that receive this Xiangling Constellation’s effect will enjoy the Pyro DMG increase alongside a wide field of Pyro applications done by Xiangling’s Pyronado.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
